Lunch at Thai RestaurantWithin easy driving distance from Torrox pueblo you will find a large sprinkling of Spanish white villages. Many date from Moorish times, when you would have 3 or 4 village or hamlets under the protection of a main fortified area. Archez is one of them. And down by the river, flowing around the village you will find a Thai Restaurant. Bhua Luang by name and delicious by taste!!!!! This is authentic Thai cuisine set at the base of a Spanish village! Really enjoyed the 2 hours we spent there. I had minced pork Thai soup, followed by chicken flavoured with ginger and spring onions. Very yummy!! I ended the meal with strawberry icecream (very English!!), but only because they had sold out of Mango Sorbet. We drove back home to Torrox through the ALWAYS lovely mountain scenery, where the air is so good and you just feel you could FLY. The countryside just rolls on and on and on. As you can tell, I love living here, always have and always will. I don't want to stay anywhere else for very long. We have been here now since 1992 and I feel the same now as I did when I first arrived. It is nice to see the other villages in the area, but I always say 'Glad to be home' when I step inside out own front door.
