A visit to Nerja, El Ingenio and lunch on Torrox Costa roadOff to Nerja for a haircut. My hair is growing so fast at the moment I am having to get it cut every 3 to 4 weeks. And, since January last year, it has turned curly! You may scoff, but it is true. I have always had short cropped straight hair, but I have to let it grow a bit as it is so curly. I have found a smashing hair and beauty place in Nerja, which is also good because they advertise and and stock my specialist postcards and also get me enquiries for the Scrapbooking business. El Ingenio Shopping Centre, NerjaLater I went along to the El Ingenio shopping centre. Those of you who have been holidaying with me will know this place. It is almost my second home. Lovely shopping experience and where you of course have to have a coffee. A Traditional Spanish LunchI also took myself out to lunch. Along the Torrox Costa to Nerja coast road. Here you will find some lovely little eating places on the beach. I had my favourite i.e., Rosada. I love this fish and the Spanish just cut it into small chunks, dip it into flour and deep fry it. Very fast. It is served with a few chips and lemon. Lovely. Negotiating with Spanish BuildersThen on returning home, I picked up a skill I thought I had lost, one I used to use a lot when working. Negotiating. I was able to knock a good price of a builder's estimate for some work to be done on Casa Sumara, a lovely house I have for rent in Torrox village. At long last. It has taken about 18 months to get plans and a Licence to have a floor renewed. Plans have been lost, architects don't turn up. But now it is all sorted and the builders are starting on Monday. So, Casa Sumara will soon be back operational. Give it a try, a nice family house with two bedrooms and a roof terrace to die for!
